London-based proptech startup Giraffe360 has raised $16 million in a new round of funding led by the pan-European early-stage VC Founders Fund. Other investors include LAUNCHub Ventures, Hoxton Ventures, and HCVC (Hardware Club), as well as the Estonian venture capital fund Change Ventures, Tech.eu reports.
- Founded in 2016 by Mikus Opelts, Giraffe360 offers a subscription product that helps real estate companies to streamline professional quality photography and high accuracy floor plan creation. The startup’s HDR “3 in 1” camera lets users quickly create a 360-degree virtual tour of the real estate.
- Founders Fund provided the majority of the funding. LAUNCHub Ventures, a leading Bulgarian early-stage VC, and Change Ventures, a Tallinn-based seed stage VC fund, backing ambitious Baltic founders anywhere in the world, also financed the startup. The UK-based Hoxton Ventures and France-based HCVC participated.
“We are extremely proud of the team at Giraffe360 that has built a very strong business with strong technology leadership and attracted the interest of Founders Fund to lead the $16M Series A round. Delighted to work with this excellent team, including Mikus Opelts, Madars Opelts, Gints Sloka, Einārs Deksnis. We look forward to strong revenue and customer growth in the years to come!”
Change Ventures commented.
- Previously, Giraffe360 raised funds at least three times. It secured €500,000 in pre-seed funding from Koha Capital in 2016, adding £1 million from Change Ventures three years later. In November 2020, the startup raised $4.5 million in seed funding from the current investors LAUNCHub Ventures and Hoxton Ventures, along with HCVC and Change Ventures.
- Thanks to the funding, Giraffe360 is launching the latest iteration of its product — the branded camera Giraffe Go Cam.
