Warsaw-based cleaning services-on-demand application developer Stepapp has raised €470,000 (2.2 million PLN) in a funding round aimed at expansion abroad. SMOK Ventures, Freya Capital, and several business angels participated in the funding, MamStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2020 by Jakub Mocarski, Thomas Werner, and Damian Sznajder, Stepapp develops a platform for providing cleaning services-on-demand. The application connects customers with service people on a subscription-based model. The services provided on the platform range from cleaning to a new language tutoring.
  • Stepapp operates mainly in Warsaw, Poznan, with plans to provide services in the Tri-City and Krakow. Already, the platform generates several dozen thousand zlotys of recurring income.

  • SMOK Ventures is one of the investors in this round. It is a Polish-American early-stage fund with many SaaS, AI, and other tech startups in its portfolio. The most recent investments include a €15 million round for SunRoof, and a €530,000 round for Gaminate.
  • Freya Capital also backed the startup. It is a Warsaw-based venture capital fund, investing up to €1 million in early-stage startups with high growth potential and global ambitions. Several business angels also participated in the round.
  • The fresh funds will allow Stepapp to expand the range of its services provided in the B2B segment. The company also has plans to move its app outside Poland within two years and do business globally.
