Polish board game studio Awaken Realms has contracted with GSC Game World to create a board game based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R universe. There is no release date was announced, but it is known that a crowdfunding campaign will be launched on Gamefound by the end of June.
- The board game is described as a cooperative “zone-crawling” story-driven experience based on stories from the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Each story will consist of 2-4 scenarios to play through — with the search for artifacts, fights with monsters, and exploration of the world and its anomalies — and can take around 2 hours each to complete.
- The campaign page on Gamefound and the images released show off pre-renders of game components like miniatures, cards, and tokens, as well as S.T.A.L.K.E.R The board game trailer.
- Awaken Realms is a Polish board game studio that is famous for the Nemesis series, ISS Vanguard, and This War of Mine: The Board Game.
- Talking about the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl game, its release will take place in 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X/S. As for now, GSC Game World has released its trailer and first screenshots.
