The Ukrainian IT company Intellias plans to hire several hundred engineers in 2023. It is hiring about 700 specialists, 50-60% of them from abroad, according to NV.

  • Over the past year, the company has grown by 55% and completed its first M&A deal, acquiring UK-based Digitally Inspired.
  • Since February 2022, the company has opened three new offices in Poland, development centers in Croatia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, entered the markets of India and Colombia.
  • Currently, one of the company’s main strategic goals is the acceleration of business growth in the USA, CEO and co-founder of Intellias Vitaliy Sadler said. Now the company plans to hire about 700 engineers, 50-60% of them from abroad.
  • If Intellias’ plans succeed, by the end of 2023 it will have about 3,000 engineers in Ukraine and will be close to the top five largest Ukrainian IT companies.

Why is this interesting?

During the full-scale war in Ukraine, Intellias continued its expansion. New offices were opened in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Colombia. With the opening of each new office or development center, the company announced the additional hiring of 100 or more IT professionals.

The fresh hiring of about 700 specialists is a severe increase in staff for the company, especially during the global crisis, the drop in venture funding, and the general trend of mass layoffs in technology companies.
