  • Certifier was founded by Sergey Butko and Vlad Turak in 2020. The company designs a system that allows users to manage their digital credentials through a certificate builder, templates, emails, security, and analytics.
  • In two years, Certifier acquired over 400 international clients, including Avon, Stanford Medicine, University of Illinois, Oxford School District, and Salesforce. So far, almost 800,000 people have digital badges on the platform, and 82% are actively managing their documents.

“Certifier fits perfectly with our vision of future education, in which reliable, fast and digital certificates of specific competencies will be increasingly important. This requires a platform that automates this process on the part of companies and employees and, through an API, enables easy data exchange with external software (like Learning Management Systems)… By investing, we strongly believe that Sergey Butko and Vlad Turak, as experienced entrepreneurs, have the potential to redefine the category globally,”

Artur Banach, Partner at Movens VC, comments.
  • Warsaw-based firm Movens Capital is one of the main investors in Certifier. The deal is the first investment in Ukrainian founders made by Movens VC. Notably, the firm also invested in Polish startup DevSkiller in August 2023.
  • Other investors are FundingBox Deep Tech Fund, a Warsaw-based early-stage deeptech-focused fund, Black Pearls VC, a sector agnostic and B2B focused Polish fund, as well as DEPO Ventures, a Prague-based business angels fund.
