“These diverse and unique regions (CEE and Central Asia) are of crucial for our company. Kyrylo, who has a deep understanding of these local markets, plays an important role in the company. This appointment will ensure an efficient allocation of our resources for the company’s growth in this part of the world,”

Richard Teng, Regional Head of Binance commented.
  • Binance is the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange and positions itself as a blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider. Services include trade and finance, education, research, investment and incubation, decentralization, and infrastructure solutions.
  • The company announced its exit from Russia only at the end of September 2023, initiating the sale of the local business of the CommEX crypto exchange. Russian users offered the following conditions: they can switch to CommEX or close their accounts and withdraw assets within a year from the moment of closing the transaction.
  • The company explained this by the fact that “working in Russia is incompatible with Binance’s compliance strategy.” The company did not mention the war in Ukraine, which was started by the Russian Federation.
