Helsinki-based Kausal, a climatetech platform, has secured a €880,000 funding round to boost its sales and marketing in the DACH region and North America, Tech.eu reports. The investment came from Innovestor and Zubi Capital.
- Launched in 2020 by Sonja-Marja Ignatius, Juha Yrjölä, Jouni Tuomisto, and Tero Tikkanen, the startup provides climate action plan information for cities and governments, and its platform details impact assessment of policy measures and supporting decision-making. Kausal Watch works for both internal and external communication, gathering all the relevant information in one place.
- Kausal claims its technology, city governments can set clear sustainability targets, build actionable plans, and help both administrators and citizens stay on track of progress. The startup also added that its solutions make climate efforts visible for everyone and engage the community by bringing all stakeholders together.
- The fresh seed round came from Innovestor, a Finnish investment company, focusing on venture capital, real estate, and offer corporate venturing services, and Zubi Capital, Valencia-based dedicated impact asset and wealth management firm.
