Sofia-based nPloy has secured €2 million in a fresh seed round of funding by the Bulgarian VC firm Morningside Hill. The follow-on investment is in addition to last year’s €2 million round, which will be used to expand to the Romanian market, The Recursive informed.

  • Founded in 2019 by entrepreneurs Konstantin Tzonev, Boris Kolev, Tsvetoslav Zahariev, and later Teodor Todorov, nPloy provides talents and jobseekers with a tool that matches their lifestyle and communication preferences and connects them with suitable employers.
  • When creating their profile in nPloy, employees and candidates set their requirements and let the algorithms do the rest of the job to match them. The app also claims it improves the traditional job application process by allowing candidates to only see the positions suitable for them.
  • The fresh investment was led by Morningside Hill VC and joined by Blue Ocean Ventures. In 2022, the startup has already raised €2 million in a seed round from the same investors.
  • nPloy will continue to develop its platform. The company expects that in the next 2 years, the candidate base will increase by over 300% in Bulgaria and tenfold in Romania.
