On November 30, over a hundred innovators gathered online and offline in Athens for the pre-accelerator program EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final of 2023. More than 50 deeptech innovations were showcased, out of which 27 were given prize money in nine different categories. The list of winners included several startups from the Baltics and Ukraine.
The winners of nine categories each received a first prize of €10,000:
- EIT Digital: WatchBuilt from Latvia, developing a comprehensive tool for capturing, processing, and reporting information.
- EIT Food: Noxatest from Serbia, advancing a diagnostic panel for bacterial diagnosis in livestock.
- EIT Health: Another Serbian team, Neo Pill, innovating a new cleaning method for dental braces.
- EIT Raw Materials: Matvision from Belgium, offering smart sorting systems for the recycling industry.
- EIT Urban Mobility: MeGoElectric from Ukraine, manufacturing affordable light- and medium-duty electric trucks for companies.
- EIT Manufacturing: Fibereuse Tech from Italy, transforming waste into new, high-value products and eliminating landfill.
- InnoEnergy: Powea from Türkiye, a smart charging AI that schedules the charging times of electric vehicles to off-peak grid hours, reducing CO2 emissions.
- New European Bauhaus: Seenergy from Portugal, creating innovative products that integrate generative energy systems into everyday furniture and household items.
- Rebuild Ukraine: Ukrainian team GAPPO, providing an AgriTech B2B SaaS solution.

This year, in the category ‘Rebuild Ukraine’, which was launched for the first time this year, all 6 projects selected for the final competition were represented by Ukrainian teams: Solar Optic, Apixmed, Ukrainian Laboratory Instruments (ULI), GAPPO, WildFireUA – YourAirTest, BOSECO Energy.
According to the results of the teams’ pitch, the winners were:
- €10,000 for GAPPO, an AgriTech B2B SaaS solution based on Global G.A.P. standards, which helps digitize operational reporting and compliance procedures.
- €5,000 for Ukrainian Laboratory Instruments), which presented TitroPal, a multifunctional titrator adapted to the needs of chemical laboratory research.
- €2,500 for Solar Optic, a startup offering a hybrid deeptech solar system with advanced optics and sun tracking that provides energy-efficient natural indoor lighting without converting heat into electricity.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian project MeGoElectric, a solution for the production of affordable light and medium-sized electric enterprise trucks, took the first prize in the EIT Urban Mobility category and received an award of €10,000.
