Every year, the Polish fund of funds PFR Ventures presents a comprehensive study of the venture capital and startup ecosystem in Poland. In 2022, the Bulgarian fund LaunchHub Ventures, Czech Kaya Ventures, Romanian conference How to Web, and Hungarian organization Startup Hungary also participated in the study, contributing figures and facts that illustrate the dynamics of the development of the markets in their respective countries.

Since the outbreak of the full-scale war, many Ukrainian companies have begun expanding into the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Poland has become one of the countries where large IT businesses such as SoftServe, Yalantis, Creatio, N-iX, and startups like Mate Academy have actively opened offices, relocated team members, or seen the creation of new companies.

We were interested in learning more about how Ukrainian startups feel in the Polish market — whether they have managed to attract investment, what challenges they have faced and are facing, what they perceive as the prospects for business in Poland, and what their plans are for the future.

That’s why AIN.Capital, in collaboration with Techosystem, a Ukrainian association of tech ecosystem players, has partnered with PFR Ventures and Movens Capital to conduct a new survey of Ukrainian startups. The survey is anonymous and will take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
