Reveel, a Helsinki-based traveltech startup, has raised €650,000 in a pre-seed funding round to solve the future of tourism together with destinations worldwide. Inventure VC and business angels from Finland participated in the round as investors.
- Founded in 2021 by Sebastian Mellblom and Robin Kanerva, Reveel appeared as an alternative solution to the outdated on-site experience during travels. The team built a platform that allows various tourist destinations, from museums to cities, to easily turn their paper maps and info boards into smart, digital guidebooks that open up directly in the visitors’ phones.
- The solution allows for an easy transition towards smart, sustainable, interactive, and personalized visitor experiences. Also, the platform uses AI to translate all content directly to 28 different languages.
We couldn’t be happier with having such a great group of investors on board. This journey will not only require a great product but also a great team and support system, and we truly feel like we’ve gotten just that. This funding round allows us to accelerate our mission towards truly smart tourism, as well as build the team of rockstars required to make Reveel a household name within visitor experiences,
Sebastian Mellblom, co-founder and CEO at Reveel, comments.
- Inventure VC is one of the main investors in the startup. It is a Helsinki-based €230 million Seed and Series A-focused venture capital fund that specializes in helping its portfolio companies with talent and expansion. Its portfolio includes such companies like ReOrbit, getpaid, and, most recently, Leya AI.
- Thanks to the fresh funding, Reveel will be able to further develop its platform. Currently, the startup is in the development stages of launching entrance ticket services in the app.
