Latitude59, the Estonian flagship startup and technology conference, has once again put €1 million investment for its Pitch Competition of 2024. The prize fund makes it the largest competition of its kind in the Nordic countries and the Baltics. This year, Estonian investors also invite entrepreneurs from Ukraine to participate, the conference’s representatives told AIN the details.

  • Latitude59 is Estonia’s biggest annual tech and startup conference that will be held on May 22-24 in Tallinn. In 2023, it is expected to welcome nearly 3,000 attendees, including 800 startup representatives and 500 investors from around the world.
  • In 2024, the pitch competition is organized by the Estonian Business Angel Network EstBAN and the investment fund Specialist VC, which has set a goal to attract new entrepreneurs from Ukraine.
  • Applications for the Latitude59 Pitch Competition are accepted until April 1, on the conference’s website.

Latitude59 is no longer just a conference – our pitching competitions have demonstrated a tight sieve and very successful startups. EstBAN and Specialist VC can be sure that they will find someone to bet on,

Liisi Org, the CEO of Latitude59, commented.

About the Latitude59 pitching process

Before the Pitch Competition, a pre-selection will be made from among all applicants, and the 40 strongest will participate in the public pre-finals already at the beginning of May, after which 10 startups will proceed to the next round.

Working behind the scenes with the investors and mentors, the top five startups will reach the finals, taking place on May 24 on the main stage of Latitude59 2024, where the investment recipients and community award winners will also be announced.
