10Lines, a Tallinn-based startup specializing in autonomous line marking technology, has secured €1.5 million of investment capital. The round was led by Tera Ventures and Karista. As the company told AIN, it will fuel 10Lines expansion efforts, particularly in the US market.

  • 10Lines was founded in 2019 by Tarmo Prints and Janno Paas. The startup develops technology for pavement marking that will allow operators to replace the existing manual process with an automated solution.
  • The company claims its robots and software can complete line markings seven times faster than current processes, cutting out exhaustive measuring and pre-marking and significantly reducing the requirement for human oversight.
  • The round was co-led jointly by Tera Ventures, an Estonian venture capital firm investing in early-stage startups, and Karista, a Paris-based early-stage venture capital firm created in 2001 investing in Health, Digital, Tech, and NewSpace.
  • Butterfly Ventures, a seed-entry deep tech VC in the Nordics with offices in Oulu, Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn, and Copenhagen, and the Ukrainian investor Mike Oliinyk, ex-Uber,  Wise, and Wolt, also joined the fresh round.

The 10Lines team is creating its own product category with an ingenious application of AI and Robotics to automate line marking operations. We are honored to support their vision and expand their offering to the rest of Europe and the US,

James McDougall, Venture Partner of Tera Ventures, said

10Lines has already established a presence in the US market, where the startup aims to capitalize on the growing demand for autonomous line marking solutions. The additional capital will enable 10Lines to accelerate the development of its autonomous robots and software, expand its team of top-tier engineering talent, and strengthen its market presence in the USA.
