Ability AI, a martech startup focused on automating media buying across platforms like Meta and Google, has secured $1.1 million led by a Ukrainian VC fund SMRK. The investment will help the company to expand its team, update product development, and release the system for public clients in the US and Europe.

Investment details

  • The fresh round was led by SMRK, a global VC founded in 2013 focusing on seed through Series B stages. It provides $500,000-$1.5 million checks to startups with a clear connection to Ukraine and a high potential to bring positive economic, social, and environmental impact.
  • Among other participants are Anthony Venus, Catherine Dahl, Nick Bilogorskiy, Andrey Akselrod, Dominic Schiavone, Vital Laptenok, Deborah McGargle, Joseph Lemay, Kendall Hope Tucker, and SID Venture Partners.

The company has just released a Strategy Agent for beta testing, and once this testing is finished, Ability AI will introduce paid packages to access more sophisticated features. The rest of the platform is in active development stage, but users can already sign up to receive a priority on the waitlist. The initial system’s release is targeted at small batches of companies.
