Entrio, a Zagreb-based event management platform, has secured a €9 million investment from Invera Equity Partners. According to the startup, this funding is the largest investment cycle in the history of the ticket sales industry in Southeast Europe.
About Entrio
- Co-founded in 2011 by Berislav Marszalek and Matija Marijan, Entrio aims to provide a simpler and more modern way of selling and buying tickets. Entrio now operates across three markets including Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- In 2023, the company sold more than one million tickets for over 3,000 events, with a total value of more than €16 million. Additionally, Entrio offers a network of over 80 physical partner outlets.
Investment details
- Invera Equity Partners backed the €9 million investment for the startup. Lauched in 2020, it is a private equity firm based in Zagreb. The firm seeks to invest in business services, telecom, media, and technology, manufacturing and industrial production, hospitality and entertainment, healthcare, and food and beverage sectors across Southeastern Europe.
- This is the fourth investment for Invera EP.
We will focus on the segment of major concerts, but also on sports, theatre, conferences, museums, and attractions. For us and Invera EP, alongside strong growth, it is a priority to maintain and continue developing the excellent organisational culture within the Entrio team that we have built over the past 13 years,
Entrio’s founder and chief executive Berislav Marszalek said.
Entrio’s team will use the investment to develop new products and services focused on increasing sales results for their event organizers, as well as providing a personalized offer of relevant events for event participants.
