Finnish maritime tech startup Seaber.io has secured an undisclosed investment from GTT Strategic Ventures, also joined by Counterview Capital, LifeLine Ventures, and Tesi. The Helsinki-based company announced the news via press release.

About Seaber.io

  • Founded in 2018 Seaber.io is a Finnish maritime software company that specialises in the digitalization of scheduling and chartering processing for bulk shipping. The company offers a platform which facilitates the collaborations between chartering teams in real-time and helps with planning multi-port and multi-order voyages.
  • The platform also offers scenario simulation tools which ship-owners and charterers can use to make decisions assessing potential risks and effects on costs.

  • This round was led by GTT Strategic Ventures, the French investment fund of the GTT Group, with the participation of the New York-based venture capital firm Counterview Capital, as well as LifeLine Ventures and Tesi, both VCs are from Helsinki.

The fresh investment will be used to improve the tools which might help Seaber.io to optimize cargo and fleet management, reduce port times, and minimize emissions.
