At the American Burning Man festival this year, Ukraine presented an installation called I'm Fine. It is made of shot and torn road signs and other elements that were damaged as a result of Russian aggression, wrote project initiator Vitaliy Deynega.
The artwork, created by artist Oleksiy Say, looks bright from a distance. However, upon closer inspection, visitors wiall see that the letters of the installation are covered with fragments that have been damaged by Russian missiles and shells.
The sculpture is inspired by a meme that reflects the internal conflict between how a person really feels and how they try to hide it.
Other elements of the installation include gates and pieces of fences, parts of solar panels and transformers, pieces of sports fields and playgrounds.
Deinega writes that people usually just stand and stare, sometimes for a very long time. The braver ones touch the sharp edges. Many viewers cry.
