British consumer giant Unilever is finally leaving the russian market. This is reported by The Bell with reference to RBC.
- The assets, which include four production sites and several brands, are valued at a RUB 35-40 billion (approximately $288 million) discount.
- There is already a buyer for the British company's Russian assets, but its name has not yet been disclosed.
Unilever owns Axe, Dove, Rexona, Sunsilk, Knorr, Lipton, Domestos, and other consumer brands. The company has been present in Russia since 1991 and was among the top 40 foreign companies in Russia in terms of revenue.
In July 2023, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine added the corporation to the list of international war sponsors.
