Ukrainian startup HIMERA, which develops radios resistant to Russian EW, has secured a fresh investment from the Green Flag Ventures fund. The startup is now on its way to closing its new round of funding, which is planned to be the second closed round in 2024. This year's first round for Himera Radios closed in just a month, in March, raising $525,000.
- Currently, the round is still ongoing, the total amount will be announced after the closure, the startup's co-founder Misha Rudominskyi told this to AIN. It is known that American entrepreneur Justin Ziff's Green Flag Ventures fund has joined the investment, but other investors have not yet been announced.
- They plan to invest the money in research and development and increasing production capacity. Rudominskyi says that they plan to develop much faster and to make things within quarters that took them two or three years to create on their own.
"The sooner we make these products, the better we will occupy the niche. We will also test better and iterate more on our product. Everything is now tested at the front end: whatever we do is tested immediately. We get very honest feedback, including negative feedback, which we use to improve," explains the project's co-founder.
In April 2024, HIMERA announced its entering the international market, and in July, the startup announced an improved version of its predecessor, the G1 Pro, which has already been codified by the Ministry of Defence and has been pre-ordered by various structures.
"If the G1 covered a lot of niche issues where others did not work well, then the G1 Pro is a full-fledged flagship product, a tactical radio station for defence and security forces, which, according to expectations, will eventually be sold not only in Ukraine, but also to NATO partner countries and outside NATO," Rudominskyi said.
At the moment, HIMERA is reluctant to reveal how many people are working at the startup, but they are actively recruiting. They are also reluctant to disclose the current valuation of the startup.
