IT company airSlate, one of Ukraine's unicorns, is laying off nearly 100 specialists from various departments and locations, including Ukraine, Poland and others. The news is reported by DOU.

The company explained this decision as being part of a large-scale restructuring aimed at giving more autonomy and therefore responsibility to individual teams, including product ones.

In a letter to employees, airSlate CEO Borys Shakhnovych said that these changes are necessary for the company's future success and are openning up new opportunities for growth.

The company promises severance pay, continued health insurance, and support in the transition to a new job to the dismissed employees.

According to the Telegram channel "Підслухано в ІТ", where Ukrainian IT professionals anonymously share news from companies, the layoffs mostly affected developers and team leads. In particular, pdfFiller teams were completely laid off. Two unnamed product teams were also completely disbanded.
The specialists said they would receive the current month's salary, plus an additional weekly payment for each year of service. According to DOU, they will receive the current month's salary and one more. Some employees were also offered to repurchase their work equipment.
As a separate piece of news, employees confirmed that the company has completely ceased operations in Russia.
This is not the first large-scale layoff at airSlate. In November 2022, the company laid off about 70 employees in its Ukrainian office. At that time, developers and testers were the most affected.
At the beginning of 2024, IT workers also said that the company started laying off mobilised employees. If an employee was unable to work, they would either be fired with no compensation or transferred to a $1,000 per month salary.
Also, earlier this year, another Ukrainian unicorn, Grammarly, laid off about 230 team members worldwide, 37 of them in Ukraine.
