The Ukrainian military will soon receive new models of air defense missiles for testing, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine states. The Estonian company Frankenburg Technology will hand over samples of its missiles, designed primarily to combat drones.
- The missiles are capable of shooting down targets at an altitude of up to 2 km, and the first samples for testing will arrive in the coming months.
- Frankenburg Technology CEO Kusti Salm noted that in the case of successful tests and consent for further use, Ukraine could organize the production of these missiles on its own territory.
- Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General Anatoliy Klochko emphasized that it is extremely important for Ukraine to have the widest possible arsenal of missile weapons to repel russian attacks.
- He called on foreign manufacturers of such weapons to provide them to Ukraine and test them in combat conditions.
The parties have previously agreed that the next step is to agree on a format for financing such missile production.
To recap, the Estonian defense company Frankenburg Technologies will also produce missile systems capable of repelling drone attacks in Ukraine.
