On 28 November, 49 startup teams were shortlisted to gather in Budapest to compete in the pre-accelerator program EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final of 2024. After the pitch sessions, 24 science-based startups won a collective prize worth €150,000. The list of winners included companies from Ukraine, Latvia, Czechia, and Bulgaria. Who are the winners of EIT Jumpstarter 2024?

The winners of eight categories each received a first prize of €10,000:

  • EIT Food: NEAMO from Latvia;

  • EIT Health: BIOCHIP-PATHFINDER from Portugal;

  • EIT InnoEnergy: StoreNow also from Portugal;

  • EIT Manufacturing: Yapar3D from Turkey;

  • EIT Post-Jumpstarter: Lightly from Czechia;

  • EIT RawMaterials: Total Energy from Croatia;

  • EIT Urban Mobility: Urbix Hub from Bulgaria;

  • New European Bauhaus: POWAR STEAM from Spain;

Who participated in the special ‘Rebuild Ukraine’ category?

The second year in a row, a number of Ukrainian startups competed in a special category called ‘Rebuild Ukraine’. According to the results of the teams’ pitch, the finalists were:

  1. €10,000 for Drone NonDestructiveTesting;

  2. €5,000 for AgRe – Technology for restoring soil;

  3. €2,500 for CathodMiner.

Notably, two more Ukrainian startups secured top places during the program, including Unconventional Lithium securing €2,500 in the EIT RawMaterials category and UrbanGeoWonders also getting €2,500 in the New European Bauhaus category.
