One of the largest IT companies in Ukraine, Luxoft Ukraine, has decided to discontinue its Employer Branding function and lay off part of its team. The function disappeared on December 1, dev.ua reports.

  • The employer branding team was responsible for internal and external communications, social media, events, CSR sites, loyalty programmes, etc.

  • The company's PR manager referred journalists to the head of Luxoft Ukraine, Olena Samborska, for a comment, as employer branding is "coming to an end" and there is currently "no person responsible for external communications".

  • Two other sources in the publication also confirmed that the parent company had axed the employer branding function and most of the staff working on it.

"It's a global approach and it's linked to the vision of the parent company, DXC. Currently, some of the responsibilities have been transferred to the HR team, while others, such as external communications, are still under review," the source said.
