Five Ukrainian startups working on innovative solutions based on open data have received grants totaling over $140,000 (UAH 5.8 million), 1991 Accelerator shared with AIN. The winners of the Open Data Accelerator accelerator program were determined based on the results of the final pitch.

The Open Data Accelerator program, which lasted three months, gave startups the opportunity to develop their projects with the support of experienced mentors. In the final round, a jury of top international and Ukrainian open data experts selected the five best ideas to receive funding for development and scaling.

The winners received $30,000 grant money each:

  • Demarka is an AI platform for automating trademark verification, which helps businesses quickly and cost-effectively assess the possibility of registering a trademark.
  • Strum is a career guidance platform for young people that provides information on the 50 most in-demand professions in Ukraine, from educational programs to employment opportunities.
  • Handstree is a SaaS solution that enables transparent collaboration between nonprofits and donors, allowing you to track the use of funds.
  • CrimeDataLab is an analytics platform for analyzing official crime statistics, which will help assess the effectiveness of law enforcement and judicial bodies. The platform offers interactive dashboards and an AI assistant for working with data.
  • Sympto.mе is a mobile application for medical support of patients using AI avatars, which optimizes the interaction between doctors and patients.

In addition, the startup AI-Refine, which develops a tool for processing large amounts of data, received mentoring support for further development.
