Ukrainian defense tech startup Frontline has raised $100,000 in investment from Estonian fund Startup Wise Guys, one of the leading accelerators in Europe. The startup team will use the raised funds to scale up drone production in Ukraine. The company reported the details of this deal to AIN.

More about the deal

Frontline develops innovative solutions for the defense sector, in particular the Linza and Zoom drones and the Burya combat robot systems. These solutions are actively used on the battlefield to increase the efficiency and safety of military operations.

"We are grateful to the Startup Wise Guys fund for believing in our mission and supporting our product. This investment will help us do even more to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and bring Ukrainian defense technologies to the global level," said Yevhenii Tretiak, CEO of Frontline.

The investment from the European fund provides an opportunity to scale up production, accelerate R&D and attract international partners for cooperation.

"We are delighted to be part of Frontline's growth. Their products are incredibly valuable as they reduce the cost and increase the effectiveness of existing military solutions. Our investment reaffirms our support for Ukraine and our mission to create value for our investors," said Sergio Borasino, VP of Cybersecurity and Founders Club Director at Startup Wise Guys.

More about Frontline

Frontline is a Ukrainian defense technology company founded in August 2023 by four Ukrainians. Before that, it had a long history of working on various developments and projects that helped Ukraine in the war unleashed by Russia in 2014. As the company's CEO Yevhenii Tretiak notes, the development has been modernised: from Molotov cocktails on the Maidan to robotic turrets.

In August 2024, AIN wrote that Frontline had received nearly $49,000 in grant capital from the Brave1 defense technology support cluster. The money was to be used to develop the Linza helicopter bomber.
