On November 14, a new US-Ukrainian venture fund Oppenheimer Acceleration, focused on Defense Tech startups, was presented in San Francisco. This was announced by the fund to AIN.UA.
The first batch was planned for $2 million, and as of December this year, confirmation from investors of their commitment to invest has been almost completely secured. The program is scheduled to start on January 1, 2025.
- Oppenheimer Acceleration is based in Silicon Valley.
- The fund is focused on investing in early-stage (Seed and Early Stage) companies that develop solutions for defense and public safety.
- Its mission is to support start-ups that can transform traditional approaches in the military industry and introduce advanced dual-use technologies.
- The fund was founded and is managed by Network.VC, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm with over 10 years of experience.
“During this time, the company has gained considerable experience, in particular in investing in defense technologies, supporting projects such as Bavovna.AI and Swarmer,” the release reads.
Oppenheimer Acceleration cites the following benefits of working with them: funding for startup development, access to specialized laboratories and expert networks; support through government subsidy programs and grants, assistance in finding customers and strategic partners.
