Ukrainian startup Deus Robotics, which develops warehouse robots, has raised $3 million in a seed investment round to develop and improve its AI robots, as well as expand into the UK market. The company's press office told AIN the details.
About Deus Robotics
- Founded in 2019 by Pavlo Pikulin, Deus Robotics automates warehouse processes with a comprehensive robotics solution that consists of two parts.
- The first part is a unique AI platform that allows you to work with any type of logistics robots from any manufacturer, combining them into a single system and making them smarter. Before the Deus Robotics platform, it was impossible to ensure coordinated operation of logistics robots from different manufacturers.
- The second part is intelligent AI robots that allow you to automate most warehouse processes.
"Robots from different manufacturers often work in isolation and cannot effectively "communicate" with each other. Our AI platform creates a single system to integrate, manage and optimize robots of any type from any manufacturer. This allows warehouses to easily add or replace robots without additional integration costs," said Pavlo Pikulin, founder and CEO of Deus Robotics.
Investment details
Ukrainian venture captial fund U.Ventures is the lead investor in this seed round, with participation from other Ukrainian funds 1991 Ventures, SID Venture Partners, Sigma Software Labs, and SD Capital.
The company has already tested "robots that communicate" in five projects with two logistics companies. According to Deus Robotics, the workflow improved by 300%.
Deus Robotics plans to give its robots the ability to communicate with each other. This will allow it to work with any type of logistics robot from any manufacturer and combine them into a single system. The update will also optimize warehouse processes.
In February 2023, Deus Robotics secured $1.5M for the seed round from SMRK VC.
AIN also had an opportunity to talk with to the startup’s co-founder Pavlo Pikulin about how the team survived in 2022 and raised money.
