Under the signed agreement, Simpact Ventures has become a partner fund of NCBR Investment Fund ASI SA (NIF), which operates under a co-investment model. Together, the funds plan to invest in companies that generate a measurable social or environmental impact. NFI announced the partnership on its website.
- Simpact Ventures is the first investment fund in Poland based on the idea of Impact Investing. It invests in scalable startups that respond to the challenges of the modern world.
- It supports founders from the early stages of their companies' development and offers investments up to €2 million out of its €21 million Fund II. It is backed by partners such as the European Investment Fund.
"Simpact is a fund that aims to generate not only profit, but also positive social change. It shows that investment decisions can bring added value, whether in improving the quality of life of people or for the good of the environment. NIF wants to join these activities by making joint investments," said Marcin Syposz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board delegated to temporarily perform the duties of the President of the Management Board of NCBR Investment Fund.
- NIF is a co-investment venture capital fund specializing in investments in small and medium-sized companies in the growth or expansion phase, commercializing the results of research and development. The value of individual investments ranges from PLN 3 million to €15 million. One of its latest investments went to Polish biotech startup IMAGENE.ME, which raised €1.4M to support human longevity.
By establishing cooperation, NIF expects to make at least 2 new transactions in 2025, planning the first investments in the first half of this year.
