A new animated movie The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep" is already out on Netflix. Geralt of Rivia is voiced by Doug Cockle, the actor who voiced him in the games. Anya Chalotra, who played Yennefer in the series, also returns to the role.
The anime is one and a half hours long and its story is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's short story "A Small Sacrifice", which is included in the second book of The Sword of Destiny.
"When human sailors are attacked by mysterious creatures of the deep, only one person can stop the war between land and sea: the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia," the description reads.
The anime takes place between the fifth and sixth episode of the first season of the main Netflix series. Early critics note that The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep has beautiful animation and a fascinating and entertaining story. However, there are also drawbacks, such as the distracting accent of Essie Daven's character and some awkward action sequences.
The Witcher anime is not the only interesting thing coming out this February. AIN has also prepared a selection of this month's series from a variety of genres. Some of them are already available.
