Czech AI startup Edmund raises €500,000 in funding to expand into US and global markets

Edmund, a Czech-based startup specializing in AI solutions for manufacturing, has closed a €500,000 pre-seed round led by Lighthouse Ventures. The round is also joined by Czech Founders VC, Borovicka Capital, and deeptech investor Tensor Ventures.

The fresh financing will be used to enhance Edmund’s platform and expand its presence throughout the EU and US markets, as the startup shared with AIN.

Investment details 

  • Lighthouse Ventures is the lead investor this round. It is an early-stage and accelerated venture capital, focused on technology projects with global vision. The firm invests in European based startups with strong value creating operations in the Czech Republic.

  • The round also saw participation from Czech Founders VC, which recently led an $800,000 investment round for Openvibe, Borovicka Capital, and Tensor Ventures, a Czech-Luxembourg deeptech-focused fund.

  • Edmund will direct the fresh capital toward finalizing its core features, expanding into US and international markets, and scaling its team. 

In the next 6-12 months, Edmund aims to expand beyond Central Europe, targeting partnerships with global manufacturing leaders.
