Jetbeep, a Ukrainian provider of autonomous parcel locker technology, has announced the acquisition of its partner Parcelsea, an Estonian last-mile company specializing in parcel lockers for private homes and communities. The startup told AIN the details, however refrained from disclosing the amount of the deal.
- Parcelsea's main product is the Community Locker, which is built based on Jetbeep electronics and software.
- The acquisition grants Jetbeep ownership of Parcelsea’s intellectual property and customer contracts, while the Parcelsea team will strengthen Jetbeep’s team to accelerate the deployment of their open network. The acquisition also enhances Jetbeep’s key partnership with Omniva.
- The deal is also an exit for Estonian fund Specialist VC, which invested in Parcelsea through its Fund I.
“We have been using Jetbeep’s controllers in our community locker for over a year now and are extremely satisfied with their technology. It was a logical step for Parcelsea to merge the two businesses as we share similar strategic goals. Together we are more equipped to shape the last mile industry,” commented Andres Sampka, the co-founder of Parcelsea.
- Jetbeep was founded in 2017 by Valery Chekalkin and Oleh Hordiichuk. The startup develops technology to create autonomous parcel lockers, helping clients create their own lockers with all the essential features and required UX.
- According to Jetbeep, the technology features advanced microcontrollers, peripherals and software, ensures that any parcel locker can operate autonomously while remaining smart and cost-effective, supporting any required client and courier UX flows.
In 2024, Jetbeep became one of the startups to receive funding from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund initiative. And in 2023, the startup became one of the winners of startups competition at IT Arena.
