Alpha3D, a Tallinn-based AI-powered 3D asset creation platform, has acquired moonlander.ai, the Netherlands-based AI-driven game development platform, to expand its capabilities in AI-generated 3D content. Moonlander.ai’s “Text-2-Game” technology, which enables rapid creation of interactive 3D worlds, will now be integrated into Alpha3D’s platform, ArcticStartup reports.
Acquisition details
-
As the demand for 3D content increases with the growth of extended reality (XR), Alpha3D's technology offers a solution to scalability challenges by reducing the time and cost associated with 3D asset creation.
-
Alpha3D is a generative AI platform founded in 2018 by Alesmaa and Rait-Eino Laarmann. The platform converts text prompts or 2D images into 3D digital assets, automating the traditionally resource-intensive 3D modeling workflow.
-
The platform's outputs are compatible with various applications, including AR, VR, gaming, and virtual try-ons.
“MoonlanderAI’s mind-blowing AI technology for 3D worlds and game development is the missing link in our master plan to make 3D creation effortless, intuitive, and universal. Together, we’re not just building tools—we’re unlocking a new dimension of creation where anyone, from indie devs to global brands, can shape the future at lightspeed,” says Madis Alesmaa, CEO of Alpha3D.
-
MoonlanderAI, founded in 2022, is a company that develops AI-powered solutions for game development, with a focus on automating the creation of 3D environments and game mechanics.
-
By using procedural AI, natural language processing, and machine learning, MoonlanderAI enables faster world-building across various game genres. Their text-to-procedural generation technology streamlines development workflows, reducing the time and effort required to create immersive virtual environments.
Alpha3D's acquisition signals a growing trend in the XR industry, where AI is leveraged to optimize development processes.
