Tell us about your startup. How does it work?
MailMoo is an AI-powered platform designed to help businesses boost their cold outreach conversion rates through personalized videos. Instead of recording hundreds of individual videos, you can record just one, and MailMoo’s AI technology will personalize it for thousands of leads - saving time while increasing engagement.
With MailMoo, you record a single, generic video message. Using AI, audio variables like names or company details are seamlessly added to personalize each video. Simply upload your lead list, and MailMoo customizes the video for every contact. It integrates smoothly with your CRM or outreach tools, making it easy to send personalized videos at scale. Plus, you can track landing page opens, views, and engagement with advanced analytics.
How did you come up with the startup’s idea? What was the reason/motivation behind it?
The idea for MailMoo actually came from our own needs. While running our first company, SauceSoft, which focused on software development outsourcing, we relied heavily on cold emailing to generate leads and acquire clients.
Through this process, we noticed something interesting - cold emails that included personalized videos consistently delivered higher conversion rates compared to traditional text-based emails. The problem was that creating these videos manually was time-consuming and not scalable.
That’s when the idea clicked: what if we could create a tool that makes personalized video outreach easy, scalable, and efficient? This realization led to the creation of MailMoo - a product designed to help businesses achieve the same success we experienced, but without the hassle of manual video creation.

How long did it take to reach the prototype or MVP? What did you encounter?
It took us around 6 months to develop our prototype. We used Finnish upper secondary school interns at the start to get our first prototype working. One of the main challenges we faced was managing MailMoo’s development alongside running our first business, SauceSoft. Balancing the demands of both ventures required careful time management and resource allocation. Additionally, like many startups, we encountered typical hurdles such as refining the user experience, ensuring the scalability of the platform, and continuously testing to improve performance.
When exactly did you launch your product? Or when the launch is planned?
We had a soft launch of MailMoo in December 2024, allowing us to gather valuable feedback from early users, optimize the platform, and fine-tune key features.
Tell us about the startup's business model. How do you monetize your product?
MailMoo operates on a subscription-based model with monthly and yearly licensing options. Businesses pay for access to our platform, which helps them boost their cold outreach through AI-personalized videos. In addition to offering the software, we also run our own cold email campaigns using MailMoo, showcasing its effectiveness in real-world outreach.
What are your target markets and consumers?
Our primary target market is Europe, where we’re focusing most of our sales efforts. At the same time, we’re also targeting businesses in the U.S. and Asia to expand our reach. Our key consumers are companies looking to improve their cold outreach and marketing particularly in sales, marketing, and customer engagement roles.
If the startup has already launched the product, what are the results: metrics, income, or any clear indicators that can be evaluated.
We have gotten a lot of users from international markets. This proves that our product can deliver real value to cold outreach.

At MailMoo, we have a dedicated and growing team that’s passionate about revolutionizing personalized video outreach. We currently have a team of 10-15 people working full / part time.
We’re actively looking to grow our team, especially in two key areas:

MailMoo has successfully raised €300,000 pre-seed round to support our growth. This funding round was backed by Innovestor, with additional investment coming from Monttu Ventures, and a syndicate of twelve angel investors focused on SaaS and B2B technology sectors. The investment will be used to enhance our AI-powered video personalization technology, expand our B2B sales efforts, and accelerate market growth across Europe and beyond. This funding is a key step in helping us scale MailMoo’s impact in the cold outreach and marketing space.
