OpenAI has released GPT-4.5, its latest and most powerful large-scale artificial intelligence language model. The developers say it was trained with more computing power and data than any of the company's previous versions.
At the same time, they warn that GPT-4.5 is not a revolutionary breakthrough and may not perform as well as o1 or o3-mini, which have the ability to reason.
One of the key features of GPT-4.5 is a significantly lower rate of "hallucinations," an increasingly common problem when large language models generate false information. According to OpenAI, GPT-4.5 has a hallucination rate of 37.1%, compared to 61.8% for GPT-4o and 44% for the o1 model.

GPT-4.5 supports file and image uploads, and can work on writing and coding projects. However, it does not currently support other advanced features such as voice and video input.
According to the company, GPT-4.5 better understands emotions and is able to create, so it can be used to create programs that not only provide information, but also help people with creativity and communication, coaching and brainstorming.
Initially, the model will be available to developers and users with a ChatGPT Pro subscription, which costs $200 per month.
The company plans to begin rolling out GPT-4.5 to ChatGPT Plus and Team users next week, followed by Enterprise and Edu users a week later.
The launch of the new model came a month after the AI market was rocked by news of the effective approach of the Chinese company DeepSeek, which developed its models on less powerful chips than its American competitors, challenging the widespread belief that significant investment in powerful hardware is necessary for AI development.
ChatGPT recently surpassed 400 million weekly active users, which represents one in twenty people on the planet.
