iPhone users have discovered an unusual bug in iOS systems that automatically swaps the word "racist" to "Trump" when using the voice input feature. The bug went viral on TikTok, according to The New York Times.
When users say the word "racist," the system first changes it to "Trump" and then changes it back to the correct version.
The glitch sparked a wave of discussion after it appeared in a viral post on TikTok, calling into question the capabilities of Apple's artificial intelligence.
An Apple spokesperson explained the glitch by the phonetic similarity of the words and assured that the company was working to fix it.

According to John Berkey, a former Siri team engineer and founder of Wonderrush.ai, the issue appeared to begin after an update to Apple’s servers. According to him, there was probably software code somewhere on Apple’s systems that caused iPhones to write the word “Trump” when someone said “racist.”
"This smells like a serious prank. The only question is: Did someone slip this into the data or slip into the code?" Burkey said.
This isn't Apple's first tech incident. In 2018, the Siri voice assistant displayed an obscene image in response to a question: "Who is Donald Trump?" At the time, the problem was linked to changes in Wikipedia.
The outage was noticed on February 25, the day after Apple announced its intention to invest $500 billion in the United States over the next four years. In particular, the company plans to open a new plant in Houston for the production of servers for artificial intelligence.
