Since 2022 Ukrainians have launched almost 90,000 businesses in Poland. This is stated in a study of the analytical center Gremi Personal.
Most of them were registered by private entrepreneurs - 77,700 thousand or 9% of all registration in the country during this period. The remaining 11,300 businesses are enterprises with Ukrainian capital.
"The growth in the number of Ukrainian businesses in Poland clearly illustrates not only the activity and adaptability of Ukrainians, but also structural changes in the Polish labor market. Many Ukrainians who used to work as employees are now choosing the path of self-employment or starting their own business," says Yurii Hryhorenko, Gremi Personal.
Of all private businesses opened in Poland in 2024, 12% were owned by Ukrainian citizens.
The most popular fields of activity of Ukrainian businesses are:
- construction (23%);
- information and communication (18%);
- other services such as hairdressing, cosmetics, etc. (13%).
Over the past three years, the number of Ukrainian businesses in Poland has grown by an average of 34% annually.
At the same time, as of February 2024, only 3,635 Polish businesses were registered in the Ukrainian business space, which is 21 times less than the number of Ukrainian private entrepreneurs in Poland.
The largest number of Polish businesses has beenlaunched in wholesale & retail trade, as well as in manufacturing.
