American billionaire Elon Musk said that his social network X was subjected to a large-scale cyber attack, with the platform malfunctioning on March 10. In an interview with Fox Business, he said that the attack could have been carried out from the territory of Ukraine. However, he did not provide any evidence.
"Well… we're not sure exactly what happened, but there was a massive cyberattack to try to bring down the ecosystem with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area," Musk said.
By Monday morning, the X platform was inaccessible to many users, according to Downdetector. They couldn't refresh their feed, publish a post or send a message. And while the outage appeared to disappear within an hour, it returned several times throughout the day.

After about eight hours of downtime, Musk wrote that X had been under cyber attack.
"There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against đť•Ź. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing…" he commented on X.
Newsweek wrote that the pro-Palestinian hacker group Dark Storm Team claimed responsibility. They reported it on their telegram channel. It is known that this group mainly attacks countries and organizations that support Israel's actions in Gaza after the surprise HAMAS attack on October 7, 2023.
