Czech startup ArtMaster secures €800k investment to boost its AI-based piano lessons app

ArtMaster, a Czech company specializing in music education, has successfully closed its third funding round of more than €800,000. Purple Ventures led the round, with Gi21 joining the funding. The startup shared the announcement to AIN in a press release.

About ArtMaster

  • ArtMaster was inspired by live teachers, offering a human and empathetic approach and constantly changing with student expectations.

  • The app adapts to user preferences in real-time, creating a tailored curriculum for everyone. It considers learner level, genres, communication style and demands.

"Traditional one-on-one lessons are often expensive or unavailable due to a lack of tutors. In contrast, online video courses are affordable but lack feedback and personalization. Our goal is to remove these barriers and make music education accessible to people around the world. Thanks to AI, we can offer affordable tuition that gives each student individual feedback and adapts to their needs," says Radim Vysoký, co-founder of ArtMaster.

Investment details

  • The round was led by Purple Ventures, a VC fund launched in 2019 by the Brno-based fintech group. Gi21 also joined the funding round.

  • ArtMaster has previously received support from angel investors like Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl and Czech composer Jaroslav Beck.

The company will use the investment to support the launch of its Artie app in July. The app will initially be available on iOS in English, with plans to expand to other languages.
