Jetbeep, founded in 2017 by Valery Chekalkin and Oleh Hordiichuk, develops technology for clients to create their own autonomous parcel lockers with essential features and required UX. In February, Jetbeep acquired Parcelsea, its Estonian last-mile delivery partner. Parcelsea specializes in parcel lockers for private homes and communities.
In the Startup of the Day column, the startup’s founding team shares more insights about the startup’s idea, its product, and future plans.

Tell us about your startup. How does it work?
Jetbeep is an autonomous parcel lockers technology provider. Our clients and partners can build their own fully autonomous parcel lockers using our controllers and software, incorporating all the essential features of grid-powered parcel lockers. Our solution integrates seamlessly with existing locker networks, supporting any required client and courier UX flows. We collaborate with partners, including system integrators, metal manufacturers, and parcel locker management systems, to deliver comprehensive projects tailored to our customers. Jetbeep can participate as a technology provider, responsible for specific aspects of a project, or take the lead in managing the entire process, including contracting vendors for metal manufacturing.
How did you come up with the startup’s idea? What was the reason/motivation behind it?
Jetbeep started as an IoT company developing solutions for retail and mobile ticketing. Three years ago, a partner approached us with a request to design a battery-powered device capable of unlocking a parcel locker. We built a prototype, then expanded it into a full-fledged product—an autonomous parcel locker. Since 2023, Jetbeep has been solely dedicated to parcel lockers.
How long did it take to reach the prototype or MVP? What did you encounter?
It took us four months to develop the first prototype. Throughout the process, we faced challenges related to power efficiency, connectivity, and seamless integration with existing logistics workflows. However, our expertise in IoT and software development allowed us to quickly refine the product into a scalable solution.
Tell us about the startup's business model. How do you monetize your product?
Jetbeep operates under two business models.
1. Technology - our current business, we sell our autonomous locker technology to logistics companies and parcel locker network operators. Our clients include Omniva, Latvian Post, GLS, DPD, Flexity, Hansab, and others. Recently, we acquired Parcelsea (https://parcelsea.com/ ), an Estonian last-mile delivery company specializing in parcel lockers for private homes and communities.
Main reasons for the acquisition were:
- Product and design - Parcelsea’s parcel locker design is one of the most optimal on the market. Initially, we planned to license it, but acquiring the company allows us to integrate it into our network at no extra cost.
- Omniva partnership - following a successful pilot project, Omniva is now scaling up its deployment. Strengthening this partnership is a key part of our growth strategy.
- Expert team - Parcelsea’s specialists bring valuable expertise in logistics, parcel locker production, supply chain management, and business operations, further strengthening the Jetbeep team.
2. Open parcel locker network – we are actively working on developing our own network of autonomous parcel lockers. This initiative is still in the planning phase.
What are your target markets and consumers?
Our primary clients fall into two categories:
- International postal and logistics companies, both private and state-owned.
- Partners, including integrators, hardware manufacturers, and software developers, with whom we collaborate on projects.
Our main market is currently the European Union (EU), where we continue to expand our presence and partnerships.
If the startup has already launched the product, what are the results: metrics, income, or any clear indicators that can be evaluated.
Our technology is currently deployed in over 5,200 parcel lockers across Europe. By the end of 2025, we aim to scale this number to 10,000–12,000 units.
In 2024, our revenue tripled compared to the previous year. We expect another 2.5–3x growth in 2025.
What about your team? How many people are working in the startup? If you’re looking for new employees, indicate whom exactly.
Jetbeep has a team of 21 people.
Have you already raised any investments? Provide us with more details on each funding round: the amount, investors, the purpose of the investment.
Yes, investors currently hold approximately 20% of Jetbeep. Our investors include Startup Wise Guys, Techni Ventures, Lviv Tech Angels, Rodina Jankilevitsch, Sasha Reminny, and several other private investors. Additionally, Jetbeep was selected as one of 24 Ukrainian startups to receive funding from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund last year.
What's next? Tell us about your future plans.
We are focused on two key goals for the future:
-
Launching our own network of autonomous parcel lockers.
-
Doubling our revenue from technology sales by expanding partnerships with major logistics companies and scaling deployments across new regions.
