The TOP 10 major investment deals in CEE region in February 2025 were as follows:

Wealthon – $115M. Polish fintech, developing an ecosystem of digital financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has secured PLN 531 million in its latest funding round backed by 3TS, which provided equity funding and a group of angel investors.

Atrandi Biosciences – $25M. Lithuanian biotech company raised $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Lux Capital.

Bible Chat – €13.41M. Romanian-founded company Bible Chat has raised €13.41 million in a Series A funding led by Silicon Valley’s True Ventures to enhance spiritual experience with AI.

Whalebone – €13.35M. Czech cybersecurity company Whalebone raised €13.35 million in Series B funding, led by London-based Unbound. The round also saw participation from the existing investors Day One Capital and other early angels.

MAVOCO – €11M. Vienna-based software developer has successfully secured €11 million in its Series A+ financing round.

Aplagon – €7M. Finnish clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company has secured €7 million in a funding round led by Fåhraeus Startup and Growth (FSG) and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. Additional support was provided by Finnish investors, including the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, Innovestor, and the Gösta Serlachius Fine Arts Foundation.

Bethink – €5.9M. Polish edtech startup specializing in customizable e-learning platforms has raised €5.9 million (PLN 25 million) in a funding round led by TDJ, with participation from Polish angel investor Paweł Maj.

Snuggs – €5.2M. Czech femtech company Snuggs raised €5.2 million in funding led by TripleB, an Amsterdam-based investment group. The company's total funding has reached €12 million.

Solidstudio – €4.7M. Polish e-mobility startup Solidstudio has secured €4.7 million in a new funding round led by bValue Fund, a Polish growth equity fund.

Yope – €4.3M. Kyiv-based startup Yope, founded by Belarusians Bahram Ismailau and Pavel Rudkovsky, has secured $4.65 million in a seed round led by Redseed, a venture capital firm with possible ties to russian tech companies Odnoklassniki and Mail.ru Group.
Top countries in CEE region

Most of the investments were made in Finnish companies, comprising 23% of total monthly investments in CEE.

Poland is closely behind, securing a substantial share of 22% of the total deals made.

The Czech Republic has secured its position among the top three countries, contributing to 14% of the overall deal number.

TechChill 2025 (February 5-7, Riga, Latvia) – The TechChill conference, an annual event that draws over 2,000 participants, including more than 100 venture capital funds and 280 individual investors, is organized by a non-profit with the goal of supporting the global success of Latvian and Baltic startups.

YEP Accelerator Demo Day (February 25, Kyiv, Ukraine) – A 3-month accelerator program designed for MVP/pre-traction/pre-revenue startups. The program offers mentorship and guidance to help startups quickly achieve their first traction and investment. It culminates in a pitching competition where the best startup is awarded. This year, Ukrainian Contera.ai was selected as the winner and received $25,000 in non-equity investment from YEP supported by u.ventures.
