Content creators can now earn money from Facebook Stories

Meta has launched a monetization program for content creators on Facebook. From now on, participants in the Content Monetization Program will be able to earn revenue from the views of their Stories.

  • According to the company, this feature is available worldwide, but the profit will depend on the effectiveness of the content. In addition, Stories must be public in order to be monetized.
  • Creators who are not yet members of the content monetization program can apply for participation on Meta's official website.
  • This initiative is part of Meta's strategy to encourage content creators to use Facebook more actively, especially in competition with Instagram and other platforms.

In January, the company launched a bonus program that offered creators with a presence on other social networks up to $5,000 for publishing a certain amount of photo and video content on Instagram and Facebook.

The launch of the new monetization program comes amid uncertainty about TikTok's future in the United States.

Earlier, for the same reasons, Instagram started considering to launch Reels as a separate app.
