Elon Musk's company Tesla has suspended deliveries of Cybertruck vehicles, Electrek reports. The suspension came after many owners reported trims are flying off the "bulletproof" electric pickup.
Eight customers awaiting delivery reported the delay on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum. And even more people have posted on social networks X and Facebook. Most of them have received notifications from Tesla's delivery specialists about a "containment hold" in all deliveries of the pickup.
A containment hold usually occurs when a manufacturer finds a problem with new cars and wants to fix the defect and avoid a massive recall of already sold vehicles.
In this case, most Cybertruck buyers don't know what the problem is. However, one of them shared an image from Tesla's service app, where a company representative said the problem was related to the Cybertruck's roof trimming (shown in the image).

A picture of the Cybertruck's front panel being held together with glue has also been circulating online. An earlier recall also mentioned a problem with the glue causing the panels to come off.
Electrek suggests that the suspension of deliveries started last weekend - as some have been canceled and customers have not yet been told when they can pick up their vehicles.
The Cybertruck has been recalled seven times since its official launch in December 2023. In 2024, Tesla sold about 40,000 trucks, despite more than 1 million reservations.
The electric pickup truck became the target of graffiti and vandalism by people who didn't appreciate Elon Musk's Nazi-like salute at the inauguration and his work in government.
