Nvidia's RTX 5060-series graphics cards may launch soon, latest pricing and specs rumors

Many of those who want a budget-friendly graphics card from Nvidia are all waiting for the final models of the new RTX 50-series to release. Mashable has collected the latest rumors about the models in this series.

Specifications

RTX 5060 is rumored to have 8GB of VRAM, although a 12GB model may also be available. The RTX 5060 Ti will likely come in two variants - 8GB and 16GB. All four models can get a 128-bit memory bus, putting them on par with the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti. An RTX 5050 with 8GB of VRAM is also expected to be announced soon.

Prices

Prices have not been officially announced, but a Chinese retailer has posted them on its listing, which gives a rough idea of the cost. The website states that the RTX 5060 with 12GB of VRAM will cost around $525, and the Ti variant will cost around $600 (when converting prices from Chinese yuan to US dollars).

These prices probably refer to third-party models, not the official recommended price. The general consensus is that the RTX 5060 series will sell for roughly the same price as the RTX 4060 series. This means that the base RTX 5060 could cost around $299, and the RTX 5060 Ti could go for up to $499.

Release date

Earlier it was rumored that Nvidia would announce the final models of the RTX 50 series on March 13th. VideoCardz wrote about this, but later the editors admitted their mistake. At the same time, the publication previously reported that Nvidia has been in contact with the media regarding these graphics cards, so their announcement could still take place in the near future.

  • It is also expected that CEO Jensen Huang will reveal details about Rubin, the next AI GPU, on March 18, CNBC reports. At Nvidia, most of the latest GPU architectures are named after famous female scientists.
  • The company has named its next AI chip platform after Vera Rubin, the American astronomer who discovered dark matter. Vera will refer to Nvidia's next-generation processor, and Rubin will refer to the new GPU.

As a reminder, Nvidia unveiled a new lineup of RTX Blackwell GPUs during the annual CES 2025 conference that began in Las Vegas. The centerpiece of the line is the RTX 5090.

It is claimed that the new premium GPU is capable of outperforming the previous one by 50%. But it also costs significantly more, almost $2,000. The RTX 5080, 5070 Ti and 5070 cost $999, $749 and $549 respectively.
