British fintech startup Prosper raises £4M in funding — Ukrainian fund Roosh Ventures is among investors

London-based fintech startup Prosper has raised £4 million in a new investment round, with Ukrainian fund Roosh Ventures among the investors. The fund shared with AIN via a press release.

  • The round, which was previously announced back in February, was led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Capital One, World First, Tandem, Azimo, Embark, Comply Advantage and the founders of Monzo.
  • A number of Silicon Valley institutional angel investors also participated in the round, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Connect Ventures, MMC Ventures and Portfolio Ventures.

Prosper, founded by Nick Perrett and Ricky Knox, is developing a platform that uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized investment management.

Founded in 2020, Prosper already manages more than £200 million in assets.

The fresh investment will be used to expand its client base, integrate investments into private markets and improve its artificial intelligence technology.

Previously, Roosh Ventures invested in Toothio, an American medical technology startup . Roosh typically invests between $100,000 and $1 million.
