After the release of the last episode of the second season of Severance on Apple TV+, Apple has officially announced the renewal of the series for a third season. This is stated in the blog of the streaming service, and even confirmed by Apple's CEO Tim Cook on X platform.
Season 3 of Severance is available upon request.

Severance has become the most popular show on the platform, taking the lead from Ted Lasso (which also recently received a renewal). Viewers loved the story, which follows Lumon as it surgically separates its employees' memories into personal and work ones. And the main characters try to unravel the mysteries of Lumon and their lives.
The first season of the show received 14 Emmy nominations and was critically acclaimed, as was the second season. Not surprisingly, Apple has decided to make a sequel. However, It's still too early to say when we can expect it. Season 1 premiered in February 2022, while Season 2 took almost three years to see the light in January 2025.
As a reminder, Apple TV+ is the only service in Apple's portfolio that remains unprofitable. Every year, the company loses more than $1 billion on its streaming service.
