Ukrainian companies Drone Space Labs and Dwarf Engineering have successfully completed testing of the new Banderyk-24 (B-24) kamikaze drone. As Dwarf Engineering told AIN, the process of preparing for mass production is now complete and the product is ready to enter the market.
- This drone is equipped with a homing system that allows it to hit targets automatically, even under the influence of electronic warfare (EW) and without operator intervention.
- The B-24 is designed to destroy enemy equipment and personnel. It is unique in Ukraine as it can carry a payload of up to 7 kg with a small size (24 inches). The drone can hit targets at a distance of up to 27 km.
- Tests conducted in February 2025 at a test site in Lithuania showed that the B-24 could fly 40 km without a load and 30 km with a 7 kg load.
- During the tests, the drone also successfully hit a target in automatic mode under the influence of electronic warfare, demonstrating its superiority over analogues presented by other manufacturers.
- Three other types of drones have already been created based on the B-24: a dropping drone, a reconnaissance drone, and a repeater carrier.
- The developers plan to improve the B-24 based on feedback from the military.
Drone Space Labs is a UAV laboratory and R&D center specializing in the development and implementation of advanced technologies in the field of unmanned aerial systems, with a focus on defense and security applications.
Dwarf Engineering is a Ukrainian junior manufacturer that closes the full cycle of development and production of autonomous systems for the front line.
