In the past three months, the number of paid ChatGPT subscribers has grown by 30%, from 15.5 million to more than 20 million, The Information reports.
- This growth in subscribers number has also led to an increase in OpenAI's monthly revenue. The AI developer company managed to increase its revenue from $333 million at the end of last year to $415 million in just three months of 2025.
- Important to note, that the rough estimate does not include enterprise plans or the new $200 per month Pro plan, which may actually help showcase even higher results.
- The report also says that OpenAI can reach its projected annual revenue of $12.7 billion this year.
Previously, OpenAI announced new funding of $40 billion and made the ChatGPT image generator, which is based on the flagship GPT-4o model, available to everyone for free.
