Review bombers are attacking Amanita Design
Despite the donations going to support only civilians, russian users on Steam have taken it personally to harass the Czech studio and leave numerous negative reviews and comments under Amanita’s games.
The review bombers are calling Amanita “bloody hypocrites” and “nazi supporters”, saying that the studio has become “too political”, and wishing the studio to “go bankrupt.”
The matter was first noticed by Reddit user Hloyar, who also commented on the situation:
“I would just like to ask you to support the developers by buying their games. Not everyone in the gaming industry can express their opinions so openly in support of Ukraine in the fourth year of a full-scale invasion.”
Despite russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine, russian players continue to assert their aggressive stance in the gaming community.
Earlier, AIN reported that russian players stole an early build of STALKER 2 and blackmailed the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World to reinstate the Russian localization. Subsequently, these players began bombarding the STALKER developer's page and the upcoming game with negative reviews.
