Samsung pauses One UI 7 update after bugs are found in it
South Korean company Samsung is suspending the One UI 7 update worldwide. This comes after a bug was discovered that prevented some Galaxy S24 owners from unlocking their phones, Verge reports.
Although the complaints came mainly from Galaxy S24 owners in South Korea, Samsung decided to err on the side of caution and suspend the update for all models worldwide.
Some users have already downloaded the One UI 7 update, but it is no longer available on the company's servers for some Galaxy devices. Instead, older patches have reappeared. Samsung has not officially confirmed the suspension of the update and has not announced plans to release a fix for those who have already installed it.
One UI 7, which includes Android 15 and a number of artificial intelligence features, was rolled out to the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 on April 7, with the patch appearing in the US on April 10. It was also available on the Galaxy S25 and budget Galaxy A-series models that were released in February.
