Ukrainian military education startup Drill App raises $100k in investment and launches a B2B platform
Ukrainian startup Drill App, which develops an application for military training, has raised $100,000 in pre-seed investment and is launching a number of new products, including a B2B platform for military training. This was reported to AIN by the startup.
- The round was closed with the help of business angels. With the funds raised, the team is launching several large-scale initiatives at once, including a course on FPV drones, a module on international humanitarian law, and a psychological stabilization program.
- They also plan to launch a new round of funding, this time from venture capitalists. In particular, Drill App is targeting funds from the Baltic states.
- The most important innovation is the launch of a full-fledged B2B platform that will allow defense companies, academies, and instructors to create their own courses, customize access, download multimedia materials, receive analytics, and provide certification. The platform also provides the ability to localize training to meet the needs of different countries and armed forces. The system supports multimedia content, flexible access control, and a secure environment with encryption and S3 hosting.
The platform also opens up opportunities for veterans and instructors - everyone can share their experience and earn income by creating their own training courses on the platform.
"This is how it works now. If a new drone is put into service, several instructors come to train the units, which then train someone else, but if there is a transfer from that unit, you actually have to do everything all over again. It's a very complicated process. We provide the opportunity to add your own training content and actually give access to those people who want to and can work with it. It's a kind of “coursera” for the military," Drill App explains to AIN.
The startup’s team comments that a number of people who have left the military are already creating courses and teaching, for example, firearms training and tactical medicine. DrillApp will allow instructors not only to run their own courses on the platform but also to monetize them. Access in Ukraine will remain free at least until the end of the war.

The startup is already being tested in NATO structures, cooperates with PSD Info, UkrArmor, and instructors from Canada, Poland, and Estonia, and has received requests for localization from Israel and the United States.
The system was designed by Special Forces officer Ihor S. together with his team and co-founder, Azov officer Oleksandr Husarov.
The app provides access to more than 130 interactive courses on tactics, medicine, weapons and FPV drones, as well as offline and instructor feedback.
